Mindful Bites
Vegan Home Cooking Class

Feel at home, even away from home. A private vegan Japanese home-cooking experience around a tatami table in Tokyo.

Class conducted in English

About the class

Each class is private, with one to four guests.

Two menus run on different dates: vegan sushi, or vegan gyoza and tantan noodles. Everything is plant-based.

The experience lasts two and a half hours. It includes the cooking lesson, a meal afterward, and PDF recipes to use at home.

Meg

Food coordinator and recipe developer, certified in plant-based nutrition

After gaining experience in both Japanese and French cuisine, Meg moved into food coordination and recipe development. She later earned a certification in plant-based nutrition and now develops plant-based recipes and hosts the cooking experiences she creates.

Having lived in Australia, she tries to use ingredients that guests can find outside Japan, so they can make the dishes again at home. She also builds communities around food, yoga, and mindfulness.

“We cook, sit around the same table, eat, laugh, and leave feeling full — in more ways than one. Beyond experiencing Japanese home cooking and culture, I hope it can be a place where you can take off the ‘traveler’ label for a little while and simply connect, person to person.”
